Amazon Firestick and Android TV devices are powered by systems that block direct web browser downloads. To install premium media players like IBO Player Pro or Hotplayer, the standard method is to use the Downloader application. Follow our quick step-by-step guide to sideload any streaming app in under 5 minutes.

Step 1: Install the Downloader App

First, download the official Downloader app by AFTVnews from your device's app store. It is completely free and verified.

• Go to your Firestick Home page and select the Find or Search icon.
• Type "Downloader" and select it from the search results.
• Click Download or Get to install it.

Step 2: Enable Installation from Unknown Sources

By default, Firestick blocks apps installed outside the Amazon Appstore. You must enable Developer Options to allow sideloading.

• Navigate to Settings (gear icon) on the right side of the screen.
• Click on My Fire TV.
• Select Developer Options. *(If missing, go to About, and click your Fire TV device name 7 times until you see developer mode active).*
• Turn on Install Unknown Apps and toggle Downloader to ON.

Step 3: Enter the Download Code or URL

Open Downloader and use the URL box to input the direct link or the numerical shortcut code of the streaming player you wish to install.

• Launch Downloader and click Allow on any permission requests.
• Click the text field on the Home tab.
• Enter the download code (for example: 481220 for IBO Player Pro, or type the download URL directly).
• Click Go and wait for the APK file to download.

Step 4: Install and Set Up

Once the download completes, the installation dialog will open automatically.

• Click Install on the prompt.
• After installation, click Done. You will be asked if you want to delete the installation APK. Click Delete to save storage space.
• Return to your Home screen, locate your newly installed player, and open it to find your MAC Address and Device Key.
